This
building
was
constructed
ca.
1890
while
the
Morris
Indian
Industrial
School
was
operated
by the
Sisters
of
Mercy
(1887-1896)
.
It
stood
on the
present-day
Mall
and
housed
the
school's
administrative
offices
,
classrooms
,
dormitory
rooms
, and
dining
hall
.
Between
1910
and
1918
the
building
was
used
by the
WCSA
as a
dining
hall
and
dormitory
.
It
was
demolished
in
1918
and
some
of the
lumber
used
to
expand
the
Cattle
Barn
(later
Saddle
Club
Barn)
.
