. The
largest
building
, the
Mansard-roofed
Dormitory-Dining
Hall
, was
used
by the
WCSA
for the
same
purpose
and
razed
in
1918
.
Photo

. These
buildings
stood
on the
present-day
Mall
. They were
built
while
the
Morris
Indian
Industrial
School
was
operated
by the
Sisters
of
Mercy
(1887-1896)
. The
photo
was
taken
after
the
school
was
purchased
by the
federal
government
. The
Indian
Industrial
School
closed
about
1909
and the
WCSA
opened
in
1910
.
