Description	The campus in 1896. The largest building, the Mansard-roofed Dormitory-Dining Hall, was used by the WCSA for the same purpose and razed in 1918. Photo also available from National Archives via Minnesota Historical Society. These buildings stood on the present-day Mall. They were built while the Morris Indian Industrial School was operated by the Sisters of Mercy (1887-1896). The photo was taken after the school was purchased by the federal government. The Indian Industrial School closed about 1909 and the WCSA opened in 1910.
