: The
Superintendent's
House
had been
built
by the
Morris
Industrial
School
for
Indians
in
1905
and was
used
by the
WCSA
for the
same
purpose
.
It
first
stood
near
the
northwest
corner
of
present-day
Camden
Hall
. In ca.
1911
or
1912
the
WCSA
moved
it
slightly
to the
northwest
to
make
way
for
construction
of
Girls
'
Dormitory
(now
Camden
Hall)
. The
house
faced
the
Mall
,
directly
across
from the
Infirmary
(now
Education)
. In
1937
,
when
the
WCSA
built
a
new
brick
Superintendent's
House
, this
house
was
moved
to
E
.
Fifth
Street
,
where
it
still
stands
. This
house
and the
Indian
School
Boys
'
Dormitory
(now
the
Multi-Ethnic
Resource
Center)
are the
only
two
buildings
that have
survived
from the
Indian
School
.
